Covid secure Procedures

At long last our tea room will be reopening on Thursday 17th September.

Yippee!

In order for this to be possible we have new procedures in place.

We will no longer have our outdoor decking seating area as this has been covered over to make space for our extended farm shop. Our picnic benches will still be available to take away food can be enjoyed in the great outdoors.

Please read the below procedures to familiarise yourself with how the new 'normal' will be operated in our tearoom, farm shop and ice cream counter.

Tearoom:

We will be greeting customers at the middle door, and asking you to wait before entering.
Please sanitise your hands before entering using the sanitiser provided at the entrance.
All customers please wear a face mask until seated as access is gained via our shop.
The customer must wait until their whole party has arrived before being allocated and seated at a table.
Maximum table size is 6 people.
If the tearoom is full when you arrive, you will be handed a buzzer so that you can go and wait in your car until your table is ready. Once your table is ready we will buzz you to come and sit at your table.
Once you are seated, we will provide a pen and form to fill in your details to comply with the Track and Trace system.
All menus will now be on paper.
All front of house staff will be wearing visors.
To encourage you to stay seated for the duration of your visit, bills will now be printed and taken to the table on a saucer rather than paying at the tills. Card payments will be taken at the table.
Whilst visiting our tea room to gain access to the toilets please leave through the door you entered and go to the far outside door to gain access to the toilets.

Take-away customers:

Please use the right hand door and the sanitiser before entering.
Only one customer/family in at a time.
If there is already someone being served please wait outside and stand 2 metres away from the door.
Take away hot drinks and food available, please choose from the blackboard.
Wait inside for hot drinks, if you have ordered hot food you may be given a buzzer to take outside and we will buzz you once your food is ready.
Preferably card payment but cash can be accepted.

Ice cream customers:

Ice cream customers will also be treated as take-away customers and use the same entrance.
The list of flavours is on blackboard outside of the door, we encourage you to choose your flavours from the blackboard before coming inside to place their order
Card payment is preferred for ice cream for the purpose of hygiene and speed on busier days.

Shop customers:

Please use the middle door where you will be greeted and told if you can enter the shop or not.
If you have to wait please stand 2 metres away from the door.
Sanitise your hands before entering.
Shop customers should be wearing masks if possible and may be asked to wear them if they have them/are able to.
Only two customers allowed inside the shop at a time, this counts as two individuals or two couples/small groups.
Please pay for your goods at the main till.
