This year we decided to stay open late on Valentine's evening and what a success it was!
The mood was set with roses and candles on the tables and the greatest love songs playing in the background.
For starters you could choose either the Mediterranean platter: poacher cheese, rocket, parma ham and hummus with Welbeck focaccia OR our homemade tear and share bread heart filled with brie, garlic and rosemary!
Our home reared fillet or sirloin steaks were the firm favourite for main course served with dauphinoise potatoes, confit tomato and watercress with a sauce of your choice. Customers also enjoyed Redhill farm pork belly with a chorizo and butter bean cassoulet, Stilton and homegrown leek risotto and firecracker glazed salmon on a warm Asian salad.
When it came to desserts the sharing platter for two was a definite hit with everyone.
Consisting of honeycomb roulade, mango and passion fruit cheesecake and a warm melt in the middle chocolate pudding, how could you say no?!
